“Drift” captures a quiet moment of both longing and belonging.  For many of us in the van life and camper communities, public lands offer a way to be close to nature, but also reveal the tension of never quite belonging to it.  We seek wilderness but arrive with walls, wheels, and routines that insulate us.  Even in our most peaceful escapes we shape and shield ourselves from the very thing we came to be a part of.  This image sits in that in between space.  Both inside and outside.
