Yield

When I first heard the Zulu creation story, of how mankind grew at the end of reeds, becoming the fertile grasslands themselves, my first reaction was a kind of hazy panic at the notion of encroaching field mice. Yield is the Dreamscape I see when I think of those tiny harvested humans. I chose a warm abstract color field and atmospheric relief printing to present the image as an artifact of a world that never existed.
